The 15th annual Berlin Area Historical Society sponsored “Ghost Walk” is on Saturday, October 14th at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin
starting at 6:30 p.m.
Advance tickets will go on sale after the 1st of October, or tickets can be bought at the chapel the day of.
This year’s theme is: Soldiers in Arms, Berlin Enlists featuring and recognizing the 100th anniversary of WWI.
The club is planning a number of special features this year including the book ‘Honor Roll’ produced by the Berlin Journal in 1919 available for people to look up their relatives from Green Lake or Waushara Counties that participated in the war; a photo album with pictures taken by one of Berlin’s soldiers during his tour of duty; and the Berlin Historical Society is reproducing ‘Letters Home’ from a number of the men and women, which are first person accounts of their experiences, and putting them up in the chapel. Seven of Berlin’s participants will make their appearances during the Walk as a guide takes you on the historic tour of Oakwood.
